The grasshopper is quite a difficult insect to draw, but once you learn how to draw it, you can easily deal with other bugs, as well as many mechanical and aerodynamic structures.
Step 1. Outline the body and head of the grasshopper.
Draw some geometric shapes that will help us depict a grasshopper. Look carefully as it is shown in the first picture.
Step 2. Draw the grasshopper's head in more detail, and add paws and wings.
Detail grasshopper's head, marking the eyes, mouth area, paws, torso, and wings. Let's plant our grasshopper on a long elastic stalk of a blade of grass.
Step 3. Draw the grasshopper in more detail.
Gently erase the auxiliary lines with an eraser and work out in detail the combat "armor" of the grasshopper. Pay attention to the fact that its chitinous cover seems to be created for serious battles: sharp hairs and jagged tips on the paws, each limb ends in a sharp claw. And in front of the weather vane at the end of the body, he has a large military spike. See how interesting his paws are bent, in how many places, and in which directions.
Step 4. Start hatching parts of the grasshopper.
Carefully draw the eyes, antennae, folded wings, and the body of the grasshopper.
Step 5. Continue hatching the grasshopper's body, wings, and head.
Step 6. Final steps in grasshopper drawing.
Hatch the leaf or grass that the grasshopper sits on.
