In this lesson, we will learn how to draw a chameleon with a pencil step by step. Chameleons are reptiles—lizards that can change color. They, sit motionless in trees, twisting only their eyes and preying on insects with their tongues.
Step 1. Draw the chameleon's eye and the shape of its head.
Let's start drawing from the eye, draw the eye and its area around it, then draw the frontal part of the muzzle. We put a point on the nose and drew a mouth curve.
Step 2. Draw the branch for our chameleon.
At the bottom of the head, draw a branch on which the chameleon sits. It does not go horizontally but is slightly tilted down, but not much.
Step 3. Draw the body of the chameleon and outline its legs.
We draw the body and the location of the legs with barely noticeable lines.
Step 4. Draw the chameleon's paws.
Draw the paws, then erase the auxiliary lines.
Step 5. Outline the chameleon's tail.
We draw a spiral - this is the inner part of the tail. Let's apply little curves around the eyes and on the stomach.
Step 6. Draw the chameleon's skin texture.
We finish drawing the tail by drawing a circular line along the outside. The body of the chameleon is not uniform, so we apply the appropriate pattern.
Step 7. Apply hatching to the drawing to complete the chameleon's drawing.
We apply even more lines and hatching and we get such a drawing of a chameleon.
