Show your love for this Valentine's Day by drawing a romantic postcard. In preparation for the Valentine's Day celebration, we will learn to draw a Valentine's Day Teddy Bear. This is a simple Drawing Tutorial, and I hope you will find it easy to draw the below Teddy Bear with a Heart.
Step 1. Outline the Valentine's Day Teddy Bear and the Heart
Start by outlining the Teddy Bear and the heart in its hands. At this point, we don't need to do perfect lines. At this step, we need to get the overall shapes right.
Step 2. Draw additional details to the Teddy Bear
Now that we have outlined the body of our Valentine's Teddy Bear and the Heart, we need to add additional details: the patches, the stitches, the Teddy bear's eyes, nose, and years.
Step 3. Color the Valentine's Teddy Bear and the Heart
Once you are content with the shape of our Valentine's Day Teddy Bear and the little details, you can start coloring the drawing. In our drawing below, the Teddy Bear will be grey with a blue nose, but you may choose other colors.
Step 4. Draw the Teddy Bear's fluffy texture and add shades
Next, we want to give our Teddy Bear a fluffy texture. With short pencil strokes, add the "fluff." In our drawing below, we used a soft pencil to do this. Then, start shading some parts of the Teddy Bear. In our case, we shade the inner parts of the paws and legs.
Step 5. Highlight the contour of the Valentine's Day Teddy Bear and the Heart
The final step in our drawing is highlighting the contours of the heart and the Teddy Bear. It really depends on your preference whether you want to do this. You can compare the drawing below and the one from the previous step and see which drawing you like the most. If you stop at step 4, the drawing looks softer. With highlighting, it is a bit clearer. In our case, for highlighting, we went over the contour of the Teddy Bear with black ink.
